Account deletion
Delete your AutoClin account.
This page explains how to delete your account in the AutoClin app (the AutoClin doctor app on Google Play and the App Store, and the web app), what we delete and what we must keep.
Delete it in the app
- Open the AutoClin app and sign in.
- Go to the Account tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Enter your password to confirm, then tap Delete account.
A doctor, a receptionist, or an owner whose clinic has another owner is closed straight away: you are signed out on every device and cannot sign in again. If you are your clinic’s only owner, deleting your account would close the whole clinic, so the app sends us a request instead and we contact you to arrange it.
Ask by email
If you cannot use the app, email contact@autoclin.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my data”. Say whether you want your own account deleted or your whole clinic’s data. We will confirm who you are, tell you what will be removed and what must be kept, and then delete it. You can also ask us to delete some of your data without closing your account in the same way.
We aim to complete a request within 30 days.
What we delete
- Your sign-in: all sessions are ended at once and the account is switched off.
- Your phone number and profile photo.
- The phones registered for appointment alerts.
- Your other personal details on the account, which our team erases after the account is closed.
- For a clinic that closes: the clinic’s data is deleted or anonymised, except what is listed below.
What we keep, and why
- Your name on medical records you wrote, such as visit notes and prescriptions. Clinics must keep these records, and who wrote them, for the periods set by law and medical practice.
- Invoices and payment records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- The audit log of who did what, which holds ids and the names of changed fields, never their contents. It is kept for security and to settle disputes.
We keep this information only for as long as the law requires, and then delete or anonymise it.
If you are a patient
Patients do not have AutoClin accounts. Your record belongs to your clinic: ask the clinic to erase it, and it can do so in AutoClin. The clinic will keep the parts of your medical record that the law requires.
